Scott Brown, Not So Average After All

Scott Brown was eager to release four years of his tax returns—and urged Mitt Romney and Elizabeth Warren to do the same—but now he has, and his secret’s out: he’s not so average. The Massachusetts senator has gone to great lengths to paint himself as a regular joe, but his tax returns reveal that his income rose from $300,000 to $839,000 during his first two years in office, coming to $510,000 this year. Among Brown’s various tax deductions are $1,401 for “TV makeup and grooming,” $2,275 for “entertainment,” and $225 for “recording devices.” Brown’s returns also show that he owns six homes—twice as many as Mitt Romney.
