Scalia: I ‘Suspect’ I Have Gay Friends

Antonin Scalia believes in the devil as well as in God, still follows “the Catholic teaching” that homosexuality is wrong, and refuses to read The Washington Post (there’s no love for The Daily Beast or The New York Times either). In a revealing New York magazine profile, Scalia admitted he “very much suspect[s]” that he has friends “who are homosexual,” but insisted that he will not come around about his beliefs, even if “maybe the world is spinning toward a wider acceptance of homosexual rights, and here’s Scalia, standing athwart of it.” As for the devil, Scalia certainly has a lot to say—he insists “most of America” believes in him, certainly “most of mankind throughout history.” Oh, and apparently he didn’t understand the Ninth Amendment until after law school.
