S. Sudan Rebels Massacred Hundreds

Hundreds of civilians were killed in South Sudan last week, according to a new report. On April 15 and 16, rebel troops believed to be loyal to the former Vice President Riek Machar, stormed the town of Bentiu and began systemically shooting people from enemy tribes. Full reports of the violence only emerged after a United Nations human-rights investigation team visited. The complete death toll is not clear, but at least 200 were killed and 400 were wounded.
