Russia: Sochi as Safe as New York

In what can only be described as an attempt to use Jedi mind tricks, Russian deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak said Thursday that safety concerns over Sochi have been overblown, and that “the level of threat in Sochi is no worse than in New York, Washington, or Boston. Based on information we received from our intelligence services, there’s no reason to believe Sochi is under more threat than any city on the planet.” His statement came after a U.S. Department of Homeland Security advisory warning of explosives possibly hidden in tubes of toothpaste.
