The peak came at 8:37 p.m., when Buckingham Palace announced the boy’s birth, with 25,300 tweets per minute. The hashtag “#RoyalBaby” was used more than 900,000 times since the duchess was admitted to the hospital. It all started at 5:55 a.m. BST, when photographer Jesal Parshotam tweeted the exclusive that the duchess had been taken to the hospital. Catherine gave birth to a baby boy at 4:24 p.m. BST.
