Rotting Whales Plague Canadian Town

Three whale carcasses are wreaking havoc on a Newfoundland town. After the carcasses washed ashore on the coast of Rocky Harbour and Trout River, residents have struggled to find a way to dispose of them. The plan is to remove the flesh off the whale, but the blubber has a notoriously unpleasant stench. Maurice Budgell of King’s Point, who led his own town’s removal of a whale carcass, said “I'm tellin' ya, they're going to have a real big problem on their hands this summer with regards to the smell.”
