Romney Responds to ‘Austerity’

The moderator of Sunday’s New Hampshire GOP debate, David Gregory, labeled this, perhaps worryingly, the “age of austerity” in a question to Mitt Romney. The frontrunner responded by saying that government assistance programs—food stamps, home vouchers, and Medicaid—should be state run instead of manned by the federal government. “Folks in Washington keep building program after program,” Romney says.
