Romanoff Beats Bennet in CO

The results from Colorado’s state assemblies are in: Andrew Romanoff beat out Obama-backed Sen. Michael Bennet for the Democratic Senate nomination with 60 percent of the vote, while Tea Party-backed Ken Buck won by a landslide, taking home 77 percent of the Republican party's vote to secure the nomination. Romanoff’s campaign released a statement saying “Game on,” after beating out incumbent Bennet, despite Bennet's multimillion-dollar campaign. Buck’s victory came off of a somewhat easier campaign: He was the only candidate to qualify for the ballot from his party. (Earlier version said primaries instead of state assemblies.)
