Riley Keough, the already accomplished model and the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, may star in the fourth installment of writer-director George Miller’s Mad Max film franchise, Fury Road. Keough would act alongside Inception star Tom Hardy—who is stepping into the leather pants Mel Gibson wore in the first three films—Charlize Theron, and A Single Man’s Nicholas Hoult. Though little is known of the film’s plot, it purportedly takes place just after the third Mad Max film, 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Keough is in talks to play one of the “Five Wives,” a group of women Hardy must protect. Fellow industry offspring, Zoe Kravitz—the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet—will play one of the other wives. Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and musician-actor Danny Keough, began modeling at 14, and made her film debut in The Runaways, which chronicled the 1970s all-girl rock band, alongside Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart. Fury Road is scheduled to begin filming in early 2011.
