Rick Perry: Gay Marriage OK in New York

Same-sex marriages officially begin in New York on Sunday—and conservative Texas Governor Rick Perry is just fine with that. Perry said Friday that although he personally opposes same-sex marriage, he doesn’t object to New York’s new law because he is a strong believer in states’ rights. He made the comments during a forum at the Aspen Institute. Perry said the decision in New York is “their business,” and that he strongly supports the 10th Amendment. He also said that he will announce in three to four weeks whether or not he will be running for president. "I'm basically asking people, 'Do you think there's room in this presidential election for a full-throated, unapologetic fiscal conservative? And if you do think there's room, are you going to help?'"
