Republicans Want ‘New System’ to Replace ObamaCare

Senator-elect Todd Young on Saturday said Republicans in the upcoming Congress would push for a “new system” to replace ObamaCare, taking “the best ideas from both parties.” “One of our first steps on this mission will be to create a healthcare system that works for all Americans,” Todd said at the GOP’s weekly address. “Under ObamaCare, rates are skyrocketing and insurers are leaving the marketplace,” he said, adding that the “new system” would be “personal, portable and geared toward quality and affordable healthcare,” he said. President-elect Donald Trump, after promising to do away with ObamaCare during his campaign, said after winning the election that he wants to keep certain parts of ObamaCare and “amend” others.
