The two Russian agents believed to be behind the Novichok poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter reportedly raised hell during their stay at a London hotel just before the attempted assassination. Witnesses cited by The Daily Mail say the two men, identified by British authorities as Ruslan Boshirov and Alexander Petrov, irritated fellow guests at the two-star City Stay Hotel by having “noisy sex” with a prostitute and smoking cannabis all night. One guest who recognized Boshirov and Petrov in CCTV images released by police said, “I could smell weed from their room. It was by the door and in the corridor, it was unmistakable.” “Later there was a woman in there. I think she was a prostitute. … I heard them having really loud sex for a long time. It was definitely a woman. I don’t think the men were having sex with each other.” Their loud partying reportedly prompted complaints to hotel staff. The new details come after Petrov and Boshirov were portrayed as “just ordinary guys” by Russia’s state-run media last week. The Kremlin has denied claims by British intelligence that the two were hitmen sent to kill Skripal, claiming instead that they were ordinary tourists who traveled to Salisbury to do some sightseeing.
