Report: North Korea Fired Missiles Into Sea

According to South Korea’s military, its hostile neighbor North Korea fired a missile into the sea off its east coast on Friday, just hours after the United States and other nations threatened the rogue state with stricter sanctions. Military officials said the projectile was a short-range surface-to-air missile that launched around 12:45 p.m. local time. The North has fired a series of missiles and rockets in recent weeks in spite of UN sanctions.
