Fate has not been kind to the family of Malcolm X. A friend of the Shabazz family, Terrie M. Williams, tweeted confirmation on Thursday that Malcolm Shabazz, the grandson of civil rights fighter Malcolm X, has died in Tijuana, Mexico. Reports surrounding the circumstances of his death are unconfirmed, but it is thought that he died from his wounds early Thursday morning after being either thrown off a building or shot in a robbery. Shabazz was in the process of writing two books, and had been attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. His death was confirmed by the U.S. Embassy, according to Williams's tweet.
