Report: Limo Driver on Phone Before Fire

New details have emerged in the limo fire that killed five women in May. The estranged wife of the driver, Orville Brown, is now saying that he was on the phone arguing with her moments before the fire broke out. Rachel Hernandez-Brown told the San Jose Mercury News that her husband had turned up the music so the passengers couldn't hear their conversation. She also alleged that Brown called her moments after he realized the car was in flames. One of the passengers also said that Brown was on the phone, but his attorney has denied it. One of the surviving passengers said they were pounding on the window trying to get Brown to pull over when smoke started filling the car but he kept driving. California highway investigators said they interviewed Hernandez-Brown but declined to discuss the matter further.
