Bill Cosby has hired a team of investigators to dig up dirt on the women who have accused him of sexual assault, according to the New York Post. The formerly beloved comedian is reportedly paying hundreds of thousandsof dollars to detectives to orchestrate a smear campaign against the more than two dozen women who have come forward with accounts of sexual abuse. According to a source close to the campaign, Cosby told his legal and public relations teams: “If you’re going to say to the world that I did this to you, then the world needs to know, ‘What kind of person are you? Who is this person that’s saying it?’” Cosby's lawyer, Martin Singer, declined to comment on the claim that Cosby has hired private detectives. “You [the media] don’t need private investigators to find out information about the accusers. A simple Google search will obtain the information,” he said.
