Redskins, NFL Meet On Name Change

Snyder, the unpopular owner of the Washington Redskins is meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday to discuss the escalating controversy over the team’s name. The meeting is taking place in New York, and comes a day before the Oneida Indian Nation is set to meet with senior NFL officials. The storm over the team’s name has ramped up after prominent journalists like Peter King of Sports Illustrated said they will no longer use the name, and President Obama said they should think about changing the name.
