SEVEN DIRTY WORDS

Rare George Carlin Recording Released

To celebrate the re-launch of George Carlin’s website, his family on Friday released clips from a 1972 stand-up routine that ultimately led to the comedy icon’s arrest. His final act, “Seven Dirty Words,” was deemed highly obscene and led to the Supreme Court decision that limited the extent that government could monitor free speech over television and radio. The two clips, which feature a likely stoned Carlin, include “Father Rivera” and “Not Going OK.” Carlin passed away in 2008.
