After more than 20 years without one, Los Angeles may get a football team. St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke just bought 60 acres in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood to build an 80,000-seat NFL stadium. The stadium proposal is one of dozens that have been suggested to bring the Rams back to Los Angeles after the team left the city in 1994. However, Kroenke’s proposal marks the first one where the owner controlled enough land to build both a stadium and a parking lot. Kroenke has also made it clear he doesn’t like the St. Louis stadium. The proposal could pave the way for a move back to Los Angeles or put pressure on St. Louis to improve the Edward Jones Dome.
