Racist Oklahoma Frat Bro Apologizes

Two University of Oklahoma students seen in a video singing a racist chant during a fraternity event issued apologies Tuesday. Sigma Alpha Epsilon member Parker Rice, 19, acknowledged his actions were “wrong and reckless” and said he was “seeking guidance on how I can learn from this and make sure it never happens again.” The parents of 20-year-old Levi Pettit also issued a statement that said they were “shocked and saddened” and their son “will live with the consequences forever” for his mistake. OU President David Boren had earlier expelled two unidentified students after closing the fraternity Monday. The video shows SAE members singing a chant using racial slurs and makes references to lynching.
