'Race Against Time' in China Ship Rescue

Hundreds of passengers are still missing while 18 people have been confiirmed dead and 14 others rescued in the search for survivors trapped in a capsized cruise chip in China's Yangtze River, state-news agency Xinhua reports. China's transport minister said the thousands of rescue workers are in a "race against time" to find survivors more than a day after the Eastern Star capsized during bad weather with 456 people on board. Rescuers worked overnight to try and locate survivors in the upturned hull while divers searched and provided breathing apparatus to those found alive inside. The captain and the chief engineer are among those who survived and have been taken into police custody. The two claim the boat was caught in a cyclone when it went down.
