Qatar Beats U.S. for 2022 World Cup

The United States has lost its bid to host the World Cup in 2022 to Qatar. Australia, South Korea, and Japan were also up for the soccer tournament. Qatar was favored to win even though American soccer officials sent some heavyweights to do their bidding, including ex-president Bill Clinton and actor Morgan Freeman. It was also announced Thursday that Russia will host the games in 2018.
