Putin Calls Obama for 4th of July

Like that ex who just doesn't realize you are over him, Vladimir Putin gave President Obama a call to say he would like better relations and to wish the president a happy Fourth of July. "The head of the Russian state expressed hope that ... ties between the two countries will develop successfully on the basis of pragmatism and equality despite difficulties and disagreements," the Kremlin said. The U.S. has imposed sanctions on members of the Russian elite and stopped working with Russia on numerous issues. The U.S. is also threatening more sanctions over Russia's involvement in arming separatists in eastern Ukraine.
