Authorities in Brooklyn, New York, have charged 17 people and five “corporations” with running a prostitution and drug ring. The escort service, High Class NY, allegedly earned more than $7 million between 2007 and 2010. Many of the customers would spend more than $10,000 per night. Those charged include the service’s owners: Mikhail Yampolsky, his wife, his son, and a stepson, Jonathan Yampolskaya. An attorney for Yampolskaya said, “We are not going to run from this. We intend to fight these charges.” If convicted, they could face up to 25 years in prison.
