Prosecutor: Brooks, Coulson Had Affair

Stop the presses! During the dramatic phone hacking trial in Britain, a prosecutor declared that two of Rupert Murdoch’s top executives, Rebekah Brooks and Andy Coulson, were having an affair for six years. The details were revealed Thursday by prosecutor Andrew Edis at the trial during which Brooks, Coulson and six others (including Brooks’s husband Charles) are being charged with various crimes from phone hacking to bribing officials. The alleged affair was brought up to challenge claims by Brooks that she did not know about the hacking of murdered teenager Milly Dowler in 2002 when Coulson was her deputy.
