Prince’s The Revolution to Reunite

Five days after Prince's death, the band who backed him throughout much of the 1980s announced they will reunite. In a video statement posted to Facebook, members of The Revolution said: “We have decided, after spending three or four days now grieving over the loss of Prince, that we would like to come out and do some shows.” While no specifics have been announced, rhythm guitarist Wendy Melvoin said the reunion will happen “soon.” The band dissolved in 1986 after mounting tensions and are best-known as Prince's backup throughout the Purple Rain film and album.
