‘Price Is Right’ Model Wins Suit

Brandi Cochran’s price wasn’t exactly right, but she will be the lucky recipient of $776,944, courtesy of the classic game show. The 41-year-old former The Price Is Right model sued FremantleMedia North America and The Price Is Right Productions for more than $8 million, claiming producers had unfairly refused to let her rejoin the show after taking maternity leave in 2010. Despite the defendant’s insistence that they were simply satisfactorily staffed with models at the time Cochran sought her old job, the Superior Court jury sided with the plaintiff and determined that she was denied return because of her pregnancy.
