President’s Approval Hits New Low

At least some Americans still believe in hope and change. The Gallup poll’s rolling average of the president’s approval rating hit an all-time low Sunday, with only 39 percent of the public giving Obama the thumbs-up. Our commander in chief’s woes don’t end there: a whopping 54 percent of voters were not pleased with Obama’s job performance, a crucial marker in the poll. The announcement comes on the heels of Michele Bachmann’s surge and win at Saturday’s Ames, Iowa, straw poll and potential frontrunner Rick Perry's announcement that he’s running for the GOP nomination.
