    Greetings from Hawaii

    President Obama Delivers Holiday Message

The first family recorded a holiday message to Americans while vacationing in Hawaii this week, wishing the public a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The president noted that it's important to remind American soldiers "this holiday season that we're thinking of them—and that America will forever be here for them, just as they've been there for us." Meanwhile, the first lady suggested Americans consider volunteering at a local school or organization that participates in military outreach. In a separate statement, the president spoke out today to condemn the deadly attacks in Pakistan, in which a female suicide bomber killed 43 people, calling the incident "an affront to the people of Pakistan, and to all humanity."
