It’s a good day for 22 new cardinals. In a consistory ceremony Saturday, Pope Benedict XVI blessed 22 men, gave them a red silk hat, and christened them cardinals. The traditional ceremony marks that there are now 125 cardinals who will be eligible to vote for the next pope. Among the contenders is New York Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan. Dolan made headlines for his address on evangelization to the College of Cardinals on Friday. He’s also known for having a glowing personality.
