Police Seize Putin Underwear Picture

I see Paris, I see France, I see Vladimir Putin’s underpants. A provocative painting featuring Russia’s president in a tight-fitting slip was removed from a gallery in St. Petersburg on Wednesday after it was deemed illegal. The image, which also depicts Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in women’s underwear, breaks a law in Russia that bans the spread of “gay propaganda.” The owner of the Russian gallery, Alexander Donskoy, said the police shut down his business without a warrant. “We have been given no formal documents banning us from operating and no receipt confirming our petty cash was seized.”
