Police officials in Louisiana believe the killings of two African-American men were likely racially motivated. Sgt. L’Jean McKneely of the Baton Rouge Police Department told the Associated Press that “there is a strong possibility” that the killer was motivated by racial animus. A suspect, 23-year-old Kenneth Gleason, is in custody, but has not yet been charged with murder because there is not enough evidence. The murders occurred last Tuesday and Thursday.
