Police: Grenfell Tower Council ‘May Have Committed Corporate Manslaughter’

British police investigating the Grenfell Tower fire that killed at least 80 people last month said that there are “reasonable grounds” to suspect the council and the organization managing the building of “corporate manslaughter.” Police told survivors of the fire in a letter that the possible charge comes after they reviewed seized documents and took a large number of witness statements. The police will formally interview a senior representative of each accused company regarding the potential offense.
