A body discovered in North Carolina has been tentatively identified as 13-year-old Hania Aguilar, who was abducted outside her Lumberton home more than three weeks ago, police said Wednesday. “We believe we found Hania, but our work is far from over,” said FBI Supervisory Resident Agent Andy de la Rocha. “We have to find out how she died and who did this to her. We have to bring the person responsible to justice,” he said. According to Lumberton Police Chief Michael McNeill, the body was located off Wire Grass Road in Robeson County. "We are absolutely devastated,” he said in a statement. “I wish we had a different outcome for Hania's family, for the community and for the hundreds of law enforcement officers and searchers who put everything they had into finding her alive.” Officials in Charlotte said members of the FBI and Lumberton police have followed more than 800 leads, interviewed more than 400 people, and reviewed hours of surveillance footage in search of the kidnapper after Aguilar was taken from outside her home on Nov 5.
