Police Arrest Five in Danish Plot

The uproar over cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad just won’t die down: Police in Sweden and Denmark have arrested five men who were plotting an attack against a Danish newspaper that printed the cartoons in 2005. A Danish intelligence official says the attack was “imminent,” and police uncovered at least one machine gun with a silencer and live ammunition. The official also said the men “must be considered militant Islamists with relations to international terror networks.”
