All 49 passengers were killed aboard Continental Connection Flight 3407 after their plane nose-dived into a single suburban home in Clarence Center, NY, near Buffalo. One person in the home was killed, while two others survived with minor injuries. "The only recognizable piece of the plane left is the tail," one emergency official told CNN. The causes are still being investigated, but the crash was the second major air accident in New York state in a month, following US Airways Flight 1549, which landed in the Hudson River in January. Flight 3407 was the first fatal commercial airline accident in the United States since August 2006.
