Pepper-Spray Officer Gets $38K

That's roughly a year's tuition! The police officer at UC Davis who pepper-sprayed campus protesters two years ago is getting $38,055 in workers' compensation. The officer claims he was afflicted with depression and anxiety due to the public backlash and death threats. He was fired in July 2012. UC Davis says the settlement "has been resolved in accordance with state law and processes on workers' compensation."
