HIGH ALERT

Paris Terror Suspect Planning New Attack

Salah Abdeslam, who is suspected of planning November’s Paris terror attacks, told investigators he was plotting more assaults when he was arrested in a Brussels suburb last week, Belgium’s foreign minister said Sunday. “We have found a lot weapons, heavy weapons, in the first investigations and we have seen a new network around him in Brussels,” Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders said. Reynders added authorities had discovered dozens of suspects and “we are sure there are others.” Abdeslam, 26, was arrested Friday for his alleged role in the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that left 130 people dead. He reportedly told Belgian authorities that he backed out of the assault, and dropped off other attackers before dumping his own suicide vest, according to Paris Prosecutor Francois Molins.
