Papua New Guinea to Repeals Witchcraft Law

It was a win for wizards everywhere Thursday when Papua New Guinea’s prime minister vowed to repeal the country’s 1971 Sorcery Act, which criminalizes sorcery and recognizes the accusation of witchcraft as a defense in murder trials. The promise came after the vigilante-initiated public killings of several people accused of magic. Here’s to the government leaving its more magical citizens in peace.
