Pakistan Detains 5K After Easter Bombing

More than 5,000 people have been picked up by Pakistan’s military in a sweep following the Easter Sunday children’s park bombing that killed at least 72 people. The explosion occurred in the city of Lahore at the entrance to a children’s play area and killed many children. More than 300 people were injured, officials said at the time. A Pakistani Taliban splinter group claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it had targeted Christians.
