Over 36,000 Pounds of Tyson Chicken Nuggets Recalled Because They Might Contain Rubber

Around 36,420 pounds of chicken nuggets have been recalled by Tyson Foods over fears that they might contain rubber. Diners have complained about “extraneous material” in their nuggets, according to a statement from the Department of Agriculture, and rubber is named in the release as the possible unwelcome ingredient. The affected products are the five-pound packages of “Tyson white meat panko chicken nuggets” and have a best used before date of November 26. USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a “Class I” recall, which is a “situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.” The agency says consumers should throw away impacted products or return them to the store.
