Obama to Put Added Pressure on Iran

At a news conference on Sunday after the APEC summit, President Obama said that sanctions in Iran are having “enormous bite” but that he hopes to work with Russia and China to put more pressure on the country to stop its nuclear program. He also said that all measures are still on the table, though both Russia and China oppose new sanctions. Obama also disagreed with the assertion by some GOP candidates that waterboarding is not a form of torture. Obama called the practice torture, and said that it was “contrary to America’s traditions.”
