Obama to Focus on Economy

When President Obama gives his State of the Union Address at 9 p.m. Tuesday night, all eyes will be on him—but not for much longer. Analysts report that the president’s political calendar is already rapidly ticking by, leaving him roughly a year before Washington shifts attention to the 2014 mid-term elections. While much speculation has swirled concerning the focus of Obama’s speech, most agree that he will spend a large majority of the time returning to a theme that helped win him the election, reviving the middle class. White House spokesman Jay Carney said he would deliver an official “outline” of how he plans to create jobs.
