Obama Lashes Out Against ISIS

Speaking before the press on Wednesday, President Obama addressed the gruesome execution of journalist James Foley by ISIS. "Today the entire world is appalled," he said. "Jim was a journalist, a son, a brother, and a friend." The White House announced on Wednesday that the president had called Foley's parents, and told them he was "heartbroken." The U.S. is considering increasing the number of troops in Iraq with roughly 300 additional soliders, but nothing has been finalized yet. The president also lashed out against ISIS, saying the organization murders Muslims by the thousands, targets Christians and other minorities, enslaves and rapes women, and terrorizes hundreds of thousands. "No just God would stand for what they did yesterday," he declared, and that it "has no ideology of value to human beings." He also predicted that the group will fail because it offers "nothing."
