Obama: 'Indonesia Is Part of Me'

President Barack Obama made a major appeal to the Muslim world Wednesday, addressing the state of U.S.-Islamic relations at the University of Indonesia in Jakarta. "Indonesia is part of me," Obama told the world's most populous Muslim nation—the country where Obama spent four years as a child. "I have made it clear that America is not and never will be at war with Islam... Those who want to build must not cede ground to terrorists who seek to destroy," Obama said. Obama's visit to Indonesia was delayed twice—first by the fight over health care in Congress and then by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. After giving the address, Obama flew to Seoul, South Korea to join a meeting of the Group of 20 economic powers.
