When you’re the president, you can extend your own vacation. That’s what Barack Obama is doing in Hawaii, delaying his return to Washington by a little over a day. "After the extended lame duck and five-day delay of his trip here, he's just trying to squeeze in more time with his family before returning to Washington," according to his deputy press secretary. Besides family time, Obama has been relaxing with rounds of golf, snorkeling, trips for shave ice, and working out. "His swing looks a lot better this year," said a golf pro who saw the president play golf this week. He’s also found the time to make several recess appointments. Obama will be back in Washington on January 4.
