Obama Asks Unions for Money

Since he won’t accept money from corporations, President Obama is turning to unions for help funding September’s Democratic Convention. Representatives from the AFL-CIO, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the United Auto Workers and other major unions joined Democratic officials for a tour of the convention sites before they were hit up for cash. Unions gave $8 million to the 2008 Democratic convention in Denver. Whether the unions will come through this year is still unclear.
