NYC Poll: Weiner Still Leads

He’s keeping it up for now: Anthony Weiner leads the New York mayor’s race in a new poll that began July 18 and ended the day after Weiner confessed to new sexual messages he sent after his high-profile resignation from Congress. The Quinnipiac poll of the Democratic primary puts Weiner in first with 26 percent of the vote, ahead of Christine Quinn, with 22 percent, and former city comptroller Bill Thompson, with 20 percent. If Weiner dropped out, Quinn’s support would rise to 30 percent, according to the poll, though she would lose to Thompson in a runoff.
