NYC Plane Cleaners Strike Over Ebola

Roughly 200 airplane-cabin cleaners have walked off the job at New York’s La Guardia Airport due to what they say are unsafe working conditions due to the recent Ebola scare—or so they say. The cabin cleaners work for Air Serv, which has contracts with Delta. They say they are not given enough protection for their jobs to clean garbage and human waste. However, the workers may be using the Ebola virus as a bargaining strategy, given their beef with their employer over work safety predates the Ebola scare.
