N.Y. May End Grand Jury Secrecy for Cops

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is reportedly considering lifting grand jury secrecy when it comes to cases involving deaths of civilians by police officers. The movement from Albany comes after a grand jury chose not to indict the police officer who killed Eric Garner. Cuomo’s proposal would mean the evidence and testimony presented to grand juries involving police would be made public after a decision.
